    These newsletter style emails are sent to Visit Chattanooga’s consumer contacts featuring seasonal content, fresh blogs, upcoming events, and more.

    When I took over this project, I made simple changes to email content and approach that caused a significant increase to email open and click-through rates. Some of these changes included a mobile-first design, adaptive sending, and automating the clean-up of our contact list so that we were sending to a more engaged and receptive audience.

  • Welcome Email Campaign

    This simple, automated welcome campaign sends a welcome email whenever folks sign up for Chattanooga Tourism Co’s e-newsletter.

    The automated welcome email has great results! It gets an email in inboxes when we’re still top of mind and more likely for the recipient to open, teaching their inboxes that we are friendly and not spam. It also provides simple click aways where folks are re-engaging with our site. Since the email was implemented two years ago it’s maintained a 71.1% open rate and 24.42% click rate.
